Painfulness of cramping
Cramping is one of the most annoying and painful parts of a period. Some cramping may be light and similar to a slight stomachache. Other women may experience cramping that is extremely painful and makes it difficult to walk. If you are experiencing cramping that keeps you doubled over in pain, this could mean that you have an issue such as endometriosis. Depending on the severity of the diagnosis, you may need to have surgery or go on medication to regulate your periods. Rate each days cramping on a scale of 1 to 10.
Effects of food and diet
If you are on a specific diet or if you eat differently due to cravings when you are on your period, this is important to note in your journal. If you are craving foods that are high in iron while on your period, your doctor may want to check you for anemia. Your cravings can give away what your body might need and the shape of your overall health.
